As an arctic blast pushing its way through the country this week, CatDaddy says it has driven him off the water and into the garage. When you can't cast a line, the next best thing is to work on your equipment. CatDaddy has long been a fan of taking a DIY approach to making his own lead sinkers, jigs and more. Using molds from Do-it Molds he can replenish his tackle box with what he uses the most for just pennies on the dollar. The process of melting lead and pouring your own jigs and sinkers isn't complicated, it just requires some time. However, CatDaddy doesn't stop with tackle, he also pours his own anchors. Listen in to The Revolution this week as CatDaddy provides a step by step account of how he pours his own 30, 40 and 50 pound anchors starting with ¾-inch round stock steel cut into 1 ½- foot lengths.
