It has been a good run, but CatDaddy is leaving the crappie fishing behind and bringing it back to his first love, the catfish. While the catfishing action slowed down for a while, CatDaddy used the lull in activity to target crappie and bank a good supply of slabs for eating and entrails for bait. However, CatDaddy is ready to turn his attention back to the cats. Listen in as CatDaddy talks about the action he is stirring up on the river. Fishing in front of brush piles and the edge of sand bars, he says he's catching some really great channel cats. Noting that they aren't interested in his fresh crappie entrails, CatDaddy says they prefer fresh shad. Pulling in nice one and half to three pound channels, he says they are fun to catch and the perfect size for eating. If you're hungry, CatDaddy says, it's time to get your butt off the couch, get out and try to catch some dinner.

A whole new facet of hunting is on the verge of breaking through and it comes from an unlikely source - air guns. Although widely used in other countries for years, the popularity of air guns in the U.S. didn't begin to gather any kind of real significant traction until a few years ago. Part of the reason for this lack of interest could be preconceived notions about what air guns are and what they are capable of. Air guns are often thought of as kids or youth guns, and those models do exist, however the market for air guns is much larger and much more diverse. Join The Revolution this week as Rossi Morreale, host of American Airgunner on Sportsman Channel, stops by the show to talk all things air guns.
