Undeterred by the many anti-hunting and activist voices out there, Donald Trump Jr., businessman and son of President Trump, isn’t bashful about his passion for hunting, fishing, shooting, conservation and the outdoors. Where did Trump Jr.’s connection to the outdoors stem from, how has he become an ally for outdoorsmen and women and what is he doing today to promote the outdoor lifestyle and activities like hunting, fishing and shooting? Find out on a new episode of Outdoor Channel’s original program – Great American Tales Presented by Hunter Nation hosted by Keith Mark.
Keith Mark joins The Revolution this week to talk about the upcoming December 6th episode of “Great American Tales Presented by Hunter Nation: Donald Trump Jr. – The Modern Teddy Roosevelt” airing exclusively on Outdoor Channel at 7:00 p.m. ET. Keith says Trump Jr.’s story is fascinating - a kid born to a billionaire in New York City, educated in elite schools, living in a very urban setting yet drawn to nature, hunting, fishing and conservation. Keith says the show will highlight how Trump Jr.’s time as a child spent in Communist Czechoslovakia with his grandfather helped foster that passion for the outdoors that he maintains today.
Speaking to the large audience he reaches today via social media and other outlets, Trump Jr. is able to bring attention to issues that impact outdoor enthusiasts. Conservation, land management, his support of organizations like Hunter Nation - Keith says that Trump Jr. is a very outspoken advocate for all things outdoors. “We really have to do a much better job of educating ourselves, getting involved, being vocal about [hunting and fishing]. It’s a great American tradition that we have to preserve at all costs. I’m going to fight hard so that this great American tradition lives long past me,” Trump Jr. says.
Politics are a divisive and hot button issue right now, and Keith says that Trump Jr. talks about the differences people have with him politically. However, he notes that common ground can often be found with people, regardless of political affiliation, when talking about their food and where it comes from. The field to table lifestyle, organic food, healthy eating and the role that hunting and the hunting lifestyle plays in that arena - those topics can unite people even in the politically tumultuous times we live in right now. Keith says that Trump Jr.’s take on this subject is interesting and one people will want to tune in to hear on “Great American Tales Presented by Hunter Nation: Donald Trump Jr. – The Modern Teddy Roosevelt” on Outdoor Channel, December 6th at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Listen in as Keith Mark highlight’s Donald Trump Jr.’s appearance on “Great American Tales Presented by Hunter Nation”, and also discusses Hunter Nation, a non-profit grassroots hunting and conservation organization.
