Eric Rice is the man with a plan and the Operations and Sales Manager for Sticky Holsters. He joins us this week to talk about their line of full concealed everyday carry products to solve your pocket chaos. Let’s take a look!
Sticky Belt Sliders: Eric says that this is a product that has really exploded and they can hardly make them fast enough to keep up with demand. The Sticky Belt Slider is essentially an elastic sleeve that slides on to your belt. The accessory slot can then secure a knife, magazine, tourniquet or other similarly sized items you may be carrying. Because the accessory slot utilizes their proprietary “sticky” material, items in the slider will stay in place and the slider itself will not glide back and forth between your belt loops. Because it is open ended and elastic, the Belt Slider can accommodate a variety of different sized items and when it comes to magazines it can handle anything from a single stack .380ACP up to a large double stack .45ACP. The Sticky Belt Slider really allows you to keep your essential items in an easily accessible area without having to rifle through your pockets or empty them out to find what you’re looking for.
Sticky Wallets: I don’t know how it happens but wallets seem to be like that closet in your house that accumulates so much junk that you can hardly shut the door. Credit cards, various ID cards, business cards, cash, checks - by the time you stack everything in and fold it shut you can be shoving a wallet up to an inch thick or more in your pocket. Not only is it bad for your back to be sitting off kilter like that, it’s literally a pain in the butt and let’s be honest, in crowded areas it could make it much easier for you to become the target of a pickpocket. Sticky Wallets are awesome if you’re looking to slim down your current situation. Available in 2 or 4 pocket options, Eric says that they are all about minimalist carry. By sticking to just what you need for the day you can put a couple of credit cards, your driver’s license or other ID and some cash in the Sticky Wallet, put it in your pocket and it’s completely concealed. Your pockets won’t be bulging and because the outside is constructed with their “sticky” material it also keeps your wallet firmly in place, it won’t be slipping out and that also makes it more difficult for someone to pull out of your pocket. Furthermore, if you don’t have a pocket because you’re wearing gym clothes, the Sticky Wallets function just like their holsters and with enough compression and friction they will stay put right in your waistband. There is also a unique option called the Sticky Boyfriend that is part wallet, part looped holder. The wallet side holds your cash, cards and ID but when you flip it over there are also loops to secure lipstick or chapstick, key fobs or even a small tube of medication. This is particularly great for women who don’t want to carry a purse. This too has a “sticky” outer shell allowing you put keep it in your waistband.
Sticky Cell Phone Holders: Cell phones are something we carry every day and when I leave home my iPhone goes right into my back pocket. The problem with this is that it’s probably not smart for me to be sitting on a big fragile screen every time I hop in my truck, sit down at work or anywhere else. But where else do you keep it? I don’t where a coat, jacket or sweatshirt everyday that can fit an iPhone, certainly not in the hot summer months so to the back pocket it goes. Furthermore, they are expensive. A cracked screen like the one I experienced last summer after a kiddo picked up my iPhone from the picnic table and accidentally dropped it face down in a pile of gravel is costly. You need a way to protect your devices and carry them as well. Sticky Cell Phone Holders solve this conundrum. Sticky Cell Phone Holders act as a protective sleeve for your cell phone and hold them in place whether they are in your pocket, waistband, in your cup holder in your car or on your picnic table. Constructed with their “sticky” material, the cell phone holders can easily be kept in your waistband using friction or right into your pocket. Not only does it make it easier to carry your phone, but it adds a layer of protection too by covering and padding the screen. Sticky Holsters make a variety of different sizes to fit different makes and models of phones, there is even a Sticky Cell Phone Holder the size of my daughter’s iPod touch. If you like to keep all your gear in one spot, then you’ll want to look into the Sticky Briefcase. Not only is it a cell phone holder, but it also incorporates their Sticky Wallet and enough space to carry your glasses, earbuds or other essentials, too. The A-frame design attaches to your belt or tucks into your waistband offering the easy to use, no hassle design that Sticky Holsters has become known for.
The “sticky” material on Sticky Holsters and all of their products isn’t actually sticky like tape or adhesive. Rather it’s grippy and Eric compares it to the rubber soles on your shoes or the tires on your vehicle. Whenever there is friction and compression applied, that’s when those high grip, high friction properties take over and help hold whatever accessory you are carrying in place. If you haven’t ever seen Sticky Holster products you need to go check out their website, www.StickyHolsters.com. Click the “Every Day Carry” tab to find all of the items that Eric talks about here. Plus, you can also take a look at their holsters, magazine carriers, and modular systems like the Anklebiter and Travel Mount.
Finally, I think it’s important to mention that Sticky Holsters are proudly made in the USA. Eric and the awesome team at Sticky Holsters take a tremendous amount of pride in being able to say that all of their products always have been and always will be made in the USA and I think that’s awesome!
