Hollywood Weapons takes some of the most intense, thrilling and awe-inspiring action sequences from well-known television shows and movies and then recreates them to see if they are actually possible. The interesting part about "Hollywood Weapons" though is that they recreate scenes that were initially done with special effects, not physically created, and that increases the level of challenge in pulling them off. Terry says that although they are testing the feasibility of these different scenes, the show isn't about debunking anything, but rather celebrating the shows. This season, viewers get to see Terry and his co-host Larry Zanoff test scenes from "Indiana Jones", "The Godfather", "Three Musketeers", and more.
"Hollywood Weapons" is a unique show in the way that it is driven by viewer feedback. Terry says most of the ideas they get for scenes to test come from viewer suggestions. Those suggestions roll in through social media and other avenues and then as a team, Terry says he, Larry and the producers work through them to see which suggestions are even possible to try to recreate. Noting that he has never had to turn anything down because the idea was too crazy or dangerous, Terry says much of his confidence comes from the process of narrowing down ideas with Larry and the producers. Larry's knowledge of all kinds of weaponry is extensive and he says in general if Larry thinks it can be done, then he feels safe doing it. Terry says he and Larry work off of a mutual trust of each other to carry out these various tests on each episode with safety, and in the process they have a lot of fun and their chemistry and friendship on screen is real.
