Listen in to The Revolution this week as Kristy joins the broadcast to talk about her most recent adventure chasing elk at Hell's Canyon in Idaho with Boulder Creek Outfitters. She highlights the challenges of hunting this epic land feature and details her experience this season. Ultimately she was able to fill her tag with a great bull that she shot at 600+ yards. However, it was not without first waiting days for the opportunity and also contending with dense fog before a bull finally presented itself. Kristy talks about how she and fellow hunter Donald Trump Jr. were able to both take bulls from the same herd, with the same gun, one right after the other.
Plus, Kristy discusses her first ever muzzleloader hunt. After waiting 6 years, this season she drew a Utah mule deer tag. She has also always wanted to shoot a buck in the velvet, so Kristy combined these two first time experiences together on this hunt. She found a great buck in the velvet and stalked it, only to have it rub the majority of its velvet off the night before she got a shot opportunity at it. Undeterred, Kristy took the 160 yard shot with her muzzleloader to fill her tag and her freezer.
