Tune in as Steve discusses early spring walleye fishing tactics and great walleye destinations. Plus, he highlights one of his best days ever of walleye fishing in Green Bay where 10 of the walleyes that went in the boat were over 10 pounds. Speaking to the quality of fishing in different bodies of water, he talks about the way aging lakes and zebra mussels have changed the fishing in the walleye belt. And when it comes to sorting through the sea of baits available today to find the products that are truly effective for your spring fishing pursuits, Steve says anglers should be guided by two main factors: species and location. Use location to determine your presentation.
Steve also discusses new fishing gear for the 2022 season and says of all the new technology out there, he is most excited about the upgraded Garmin LiveScope Plus system. The live-scanning sonar delivers live images and movement that are clear and precise, making it an incredibly valuable tool for any angler. He highlights his personal experiences with it and notes that a large majority of tournament anglers also run the LiveScope system which highlights the importance of the information an angler can glean from this system.
