Being able to attract deer to your property requires it to have essentials like food, water and cover. Food though, of all the necessities, is likely the chief attractant that needs to be present for hunters to be able to successfully hunt their properties. Food plots of any size, large or small, help land managers address the issue of providing in-demand quality food on their properties. With great food sources comes deer and other wildlife that are eager to utilize them and when food plots are grazed too soon or excessively it can diminish the quality of those food plots or kill them entirely. Pat Reeve is the co-host of "Driven with Pat and Nicole" on Outdoor Channel, Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET and he understands the impact that high pressure from deer can have on a food plot. Pat joins The Revolution this week with tips for curbing overbrowsing of your food plots, creating water sources and more.

Unlike the lunker worthy largemouth rich waters of the Kissimmee Chain in Florida where the previous Major League Fishing Heavy Hitter event was, Sturgeon Bay, WI is instead going to put the focus on smallmouths. Brent says smallmouths are one of the most enjoyable bass to catch, however they are also the most nerve-racking because of their tendency to fight so hard. With a reputation for world class smallmouth fishing, Brent is headed north with 20+ rods, ready to dial in his strategy and cap off his season with a strong finish.
The future of fishing rests with today's youth, and CatDaddy, owner and guide CatDaddy's Catfishin' Adventures, is always ready to mentor young anglers. Fresh off of the holiday weekend, CatDaddy says he took a father and son out on the 4th of July and they all had a great time as the young man was able to hook and land a nearly 20-pound channel catfish over the beanhole. The action was hot, the catfish were aggressive, and they were able to put a whoopin' on the bottom feeders, he says. With the 4th of July in the rearview mirror now, things are only going to get hotter. The dog days of summer and moving in and when it comes to catfishing action, CatDaddy says that the beanhole is going to be the best source of reliable bites until the end of August.

The catfish bite is on, CatDaddy says, but the hard hitting aggressive action from the spawn is coming to an end. Once the spawn is over, anglers will have to drop it right in front of the fish to provoke a bite. That kind of precise placement makes now a great time to get out and set up limb lines. You can cruise up and down the river bank and if you know what you're looking for, CatDaddy says, you can almost drop it right in front of their holes. If they are gone, they'll come back and see it dangling and eat it. If they're in their hole, they'll hear it and come out and eat it, he says.

There are roughly 3.4 million muzzleloader hunters in the country. It's possible that number could be far greater if it weren't for the challenges of reliability, consistency and safety that some hunters worry about with muzzleloaders. Federal's new FireStick may just change the game entirely though. Listen in as Jim, Trav and Mrs. Bunny talk about Federal's FireStick, set for release this summer!
