Jeff joins Jim and Trav this week on The Revolution and dishes on his World Record, 800-plus pound, mako shark with a bow. Jeff will talk about what it takes to land a mako shark, the necessary gear required to handle that caliber of a fish, shooting distance and penetration, and the fight it takes to finally get it in the boat. If sharks aren’t thrilling enough for you, Jeff will then dive into alligator hunting. Jeff says that he likes calling predators and while many people may not expect it, alligators are no exception. He’ll talk with Jim and Trav about the sound library he uses when alligator hunting and explain why baby alligator sounds are so effective at calling in both males and females. He’ll also talk about the importance of playing the wind and using stealth in order to take one of these prehistoric monsters and how to recover a gator before it sinks, once you shoot it.
