Here are her four suggestions:
- With a broadside shot bowhunters can shoot where drumsticks are and take out their legs so they can’t get away and they bleed out almost immediately.
- When a tom is fanned out you can aim in the tail fan and send an arrow right through them, much like the Texas Heart Shot.
- Hunters can aim for their back and break their spine.
- A shot to the front can be placed near the middle of the beard so that the broadhead goes all the way through to the vital organs.
Melissa will talk about how to avoid the impeccable vision of a turkey, her favorite ground blind, and how she keeps ticks at bay while she’s in the woods. Melissa will also dish on her favorite hunting partner, Pork Chop, and the double bearded Illinois gobbler she knocked down last week. Tune in.
