Michael Bane, host of “The Best Defense” and “Shooting Gallery” on Outdoor Channel, joins The Revolution this week to talk big bore handgun hunting. When it comes to choosing a handgun worthy of your big game pursuits, Michael discusses barrel lengths and explains why he prefers a shorter barrel for convenience. In regard to caliber, there are plenty to choose from, however Michael tells Jim and Trav that much like archery, the goal is to drill a big hole. With that in mind he talks about the advantages of .45 and .50 caliber pistols and explains his fondness of the .454 Casull and others.
