So while you’re cleaning those gutters, you should be thinking about more hazards than just risking your life atop that wobbly ladder. Are you ready for winter emergencies?
With colder conditions right around the corner, fall is the perfect time to get your home, vehicles and even your workplace ready for the tough weather to come. Stock up on household supplies. Load up your vehicles with extra clothing, sleeping bags and non-perishable food. Think about a “get home bag” or “spend the night at work” bag to keep in your office. And don’t forget to switch out the batteries in your smoke alarms. The squirrels are running around like little chickens with their heads cut off, burying nuts and prepping for winter. If they’re smart enough to get ready, should we be even smarter about our winter preparedness?
Be safe out there and God Bless!
