Tim says if you find yourself outdoors in a storm with a lot of lightning it's important that you aren't the tallest thing around and that you get away from those things that are towering over you. He encourages people to get to lower lying areas to take cover and even to seek shelter under shorter trees. Some of the same principles apply when riding out heavy winds. Excessive winds can uproot large trees, so it is important to put distance between yourself and unstable objects and instead seek shelter under shorter trees and dense vegetation. Tim will also break down the basics of tornado safety and where to seek shelter if you aren’t at home. He’ll also explain why the wind isn’t your biggest threat during a tornado, but rather the debris. Tune in for the skinny on smart precautions to take during storms and also find out when Tim’s newest survival book is set to be released!
