Here’s the deal, I’m a big drinker. When I say “drinker”, yes, I enjoy a few adult beverages here and there. However, in this case I’m referring to drinks that you don’t need a valid I.D. to purchase. I always have some sort of liquid in hand. I love coffee, I have what some may consider a problem with Dr. Pepper and of course I consume a good amount of water, too. I have been through a lot of different drinkware over the years, using them for short periods of time and then moving on to something else when one falls short. However, the Cabela's Polar Cap® Tumblers hit every need I have – my search has come to an end.
So, what makes these tumblers so great? First, they are made from a highly durable 18/8 stainless steel and have a double wall vacuum insulation, this is what is responsible for keeping your drinks either hot or cold and it truly does. I can pour coffee into this tumbler and it stays piping hot for 4-6 hours easily and warm for well beyond that time frame. My wife happens to be an iced coffee drinker and as previously mentioned I like Dr. Pepper. We can both load our tumblers with ice and a beverage and the ice will remain in the cup 12+ hours later. The lid doesn’t screw on, but rather pushes down using a rubber gasket for a good seal around the outside. The lid is equipped with a slide closure making it easy to open and close and also to prevent spills when you’re on the go. Plus, on the bottom of the cup, built in to the base, you’ll find a bottle opener. The outside of this tumbler is textured instead of smooth making it easy to grip. Furthermore, the tumbler is the correct size to fit in your cup holder. Maybe I’m the only one but I find it incredibly frustrating when my cup doesn’t have a place to sit securely in the vehicle, instead I’m left with one option, putting it between my legs.
Now because I’m a guzzler, I prefer a large cup and this tumbler comes in two different sizes, 20 oz and 30 oz. The best part of all of this just might be the price: $14.99 for the 20 oz and $19.99 for the 30 oz. There are a lot of different tumblers out there and some come with some pretty startling price tags. For less than $20 you can get an awesome tumbler that performs just as well or even better than its more expensive counterparts. I forgot to mention, this also comes in two different colors, black and tan. My wife and I have his and hers tumblers, she uses the tan and mine is the black.
Be sure to check out the mother of all tumblers, the Cabela's Polar Cap® Tumblers. Get it for yourself or give it as a gift, it’s worth it!
Hugs, Handshakes and Happy Drinking
