Buy or Bust – Cabela's The ZonZ Ground Blind

Are you big game ready? Don’t let warm temperatures fool you, fall is right around the corner. Coast to coast, hunting methods, vary greatly. However, ground blinds are applicable just about anywhere in the country and provide a great, affordable, portable, quick and easy way to set up an ambush point. There are a lot of different pop-up style hunting blinds out there, but Cabela’s The ZonZ Ground Blinds hit all the high notes you’ll need. On this week’s installment of Buy or Bust, we’ll take a quick look at the new Cabela’s The ZonZ Ground Blinds, the different models available, and the varying window configurations.

Kicking it all off is the Cabela's® The ZonZ Hub Ground Blind. It’s the smaller of the models we’re talking about, but provides plenty of space for a single or two-person hunting setup. The 4-hub, 72” hub-to-hub model has a 58” x 58” footprint and a ceiling height of 68”. In total, the Hub has 11 windows that give way to a 360-degree field of view. It’s quick to setup, light to carry and you can pick it up for $129.99.

Next are the Cabela's® The ZonZ Specialist Ground Blind and Cabela's® The ZonZ Specialist XL Ground Blind. These blinds are virtually identical with the exception of size. Both are extra-large five-hub blinds that have 8 windows. The windows are uniquely configured to make the most of both vertical and horizontal shooting zones. Two sides of the blind feature 3 triangular windows that go ground to ceiling. The triangles follow the contours of the hubs making archery or firearm hunting possible with no problem. These large windows also making shooting in uneven terrain easier as you aim higher or lower without running into window restrictions. The other two sides of these blinds have two-panel covers that let the hunter adjust the openings from the top, middle or bottom. This window configuration gives hunters a 360-degree view and eliminates restrictions or hindrances in shooting angles. The Specialist sports a 74” hub-to-hub width, a footprint of 58” x 58” and a ceiling height of 68”. The Specialist XL has an enormous 88” hub-to-hub width, a footprint of 67” x 67” and a ceiling height of 76”. You can pick up these two models for $159.99 and $179.99, respectively.

All three models are made with a quiet 300-denier brushed-polyester exterior that is also water resistant. They all make entry and exit easy with a large, triangle shaped zippered door. The Zonz™ Woodlands camo pattern is really versatile for different country as well. The pattern incorporates 3 distinct "zones" to effectively blend in with variations in terrain and vegetation, by providing unparalleled depth and realism at close range and long distance. All of the windows have shoot through mesh and provide a 360-degree field of view for hunters. Plus, each model has a different overall footprint letting hunters decide how much space they need.
