In particular, Jim will discuss an alligator hunt in Florida where he was able to search for a nuisance alligator that was killing a rancher's calves. After three days of hunting, Jim finally caught up with the gator and after snagging it was able to bring the beast in close enough for a shot. When it was all said and done, the alligator measured just over 11-feet long. Jim notes that it is one of the largest free range alligators ever taken with a 429 Desert Eagle Pistol. Aside from the excitement of the hunt, he highlights the ways he is making the most of this alligator by not only eating the meat, but having the hide tanned and skull cleaned up for a mount. Every part of the alligator was utilized, something Jim is really happy about.
In another great hunting adventure this spring, Jim and co-host Brandon went to Patagonia for two weeks to hunt and fish. They spent the first half of the trip floating the Rio Grande, with the Andes Mountains in the background, fishing for brown trout and rainbow trout. After that, they turned their focus to hunting for stag during the rut, or "roar". In a memorable turn of events, Jim ended up shooting a monster stag which happened to be the largest free range stag to be taken on that ranch in 150 years. The 12x10 giant had an impressive rack with incredible mass. The behemoth will be displayed as a pedestal mount for Jim to enjoy.
