Maryland may be known for fishing and blue crabs, but the state is also home to a lot of agriculture with vast fields of soybeans and corn and plenty of big deer. It's a state with gritty hard working, America first people that make this country run, Boomer says, and the hunting opportunities there are incredible. With a whitetail population of about 200,000 deer, reasonable license prices, generous bag limits, over-the-counter tags, plenty of public land and varied terrain - Maryland is a great whitetail hunting destination. Boomer talks about hunting Kent County and the potential for some truly unbelievable bucks there in the Northeast.
"Wild Memories" is a relatively new show and Boomer discusses how he started it and how it gave him a new purpose and goal after leaving the service. As an Army Combat Veteran, Boomer is passionate about reaching out to fellow service members. It's often said that the outdoors is healing for veterans, and he explains why outdoor recreation is such a positive outlet for veterans and why/how we all can do more to help those who have served that are struggling.
Be sure to watch "Wild Memories" on Sportsman Channel, Sundays at 10 a.m. ET and catch other airings throughout the week.
