River Klass, host of "Ranch America" joins The Revolution with Jim and Trav this week to discuss the new series that provides a fresh and contemporary perspective of the American rancher. Ranch America celebrates the cattle rancher, cowboy and rodeo communities, working horses, cattle dogs and the remarkable landscape of America's ranching lifestyle. River takes viewers across the country and meets with American ranchers who are doing whatever it takes to put the best beef on our dinner tables.
Although millions of Americans make beef a staple on their dinner table, River says most of them have no idea where their beef comes from or the many steps involved in getting it to market. As a cattle producer himself, River discusses the challenges that ranchers face in raising their herds and their commitment to the animals under their care. All of that ultimately translates to delicious and healthy American raised beef, primarily from small ranches, that lands on the consumer's plate.
River discusses the cowboy spirit and the interesting and fulfilling life of a rancher while also acknowledging that it's not a career where you make a lot of money. However, the people who choose this way of life wouldn't have it any other way and thanks to their efforts, we have access to great food for our tables.
Be sure to watch "Ranch America" Mondays at 9:30 p.m. ET on Outdoor Channel.
