At its most basic level, "Renovation Hunters" gives an incredible update to camps in need. However, the benefits go beyond the cosmetic and aesthetic updates. These renovations take camps with years of hunting tradition steeped into them and breathe new life into them. The renovations help families keep their properties alive and operating, make them a destination to come back to year after year, and also serve as a way to help foster a passion for the outdoor lifestyle for generations to come.
Hal talks about the process of selecting the camps that will be renovated. The selection process is based on compelling video submissions they receive from everyday people, just like you. From those entries they select the few camps they'll renovate. Then, the "Renovation Hunters" team views each property and gets to know the owners and people that use it. They go to work putting together a design that caters to the way the owners use the property, a truly custom design experience. This design is kept a secret from the owners until the camp is unveiled at the completion of the project. Renovations of this caliber, and under this kind of time restraint, require a team of specialized craftsmen. Hal discusses the fantastic team of pros they have in place and the incredible sponsors they have that make the 8-day renovation possible.
"Renovation Hunters" isn't just a new paint job on the old hunting cabin, they do a deep dive on each project to truly renovate and update the property so that it can be used for generations to come. Hal talks about the extensive work that is done to each property, not just the cabin itself, but how they also create incredible outdoor grilling spaces, hunting blinds and do thorough hunting property improvements, too.
Be sure to watch the brand new show, "Renovation Hunters" premiering February 24th at 8:30 p.m. ET on Outdoor Channel.
